Virat Kohli has been on fire in the field on day 2 of the Chennai Test match against England. The Indian captain might have failed with the bat but still, he was at his usual best entertaining the crowd on day 2. After India posted a competitive total of 329 runs, Kohli was fired up as he sensed an opportunity to pick quick wickets. The showman that is Kohli also brought the crowd into the game as he encouraged him to cheer louder for team India.

The crowd at Chepauk erupted as soon as they saw Kohli imitating the whistle in his own style. The Indian captain is the ultimate crowd favourite who never misses an opportunity to get them pumped up during a match. Kohli was seen clapping and signalling the spectators to back the Indian team and motivate them to pick wickets. The noise of the crowd got a notch higher after that as India dominated India in the first two sessions on day 2.

Kohli has always maintained he always loves playing in front of a loud home crowd as they motivate him and the Indian team to perform at their best. The Indian captain looked a little less aggressive in the last Test as the match was played behind closed doors. However, due to the packed crowd Chepauk, he was at home and was at his entertaining best. The BCCI posted the video on their official Twitter account where Kohli was seen having fun with the crowd at Chepauk.

Meanwhile, talking about the match it has been all India on day 2 so far as England batting has crumbled on the turning chepauk pitch. The visitors are currently 8 wickets down with only 106 runs on the board. It will be interesting to see whether Virat Kohli enforces the follow-on if England fails to score 24 more runs. Nevertheless, it looks highly unlikely as it’s just day 2 and India will be aiming to score around 300 again on a difficult pitch and make a statement.
