Virat Kohli”s wax statue at Madame Tussauds

The ICC world cup has just begun as South Africa are currently playing against the hosts at London. The seven-week cricket festival is all set to take the fans on a ride and a lot of entire entertainment is on the cards for the enthusiasts.

Not just the anthem, the latest TV promotional are also using the concept of “News jacking” by promoting their advertisements using the theme of the cricket world cup.

World”s renowned Madame Tussauds museum has unveiled the wax statue of Indian skipper Virat Kohli at Lord”s. The statue can be seen with the skipper dressed in the blue colours which is the official kit for the World cup. The statue is all set to be at the museum till July 15, the entire duration of the world cup.

Speaking on the same Steve Davies, the General Manager of the museum said “Cricket fever is set to sweep the nation in the coming weeks so what better way to unveil our new figure of Kohli than with the help of our neighbours at Lord”s. We hope that cricket fans will enjoy not only watching their hero on the pitch but taking to the crease with him here at the museum. “

This news made the Indian fans so joyous as they can”t wait to see their team perform well in the world cup. After winning the cup in 2011, the side tried their best in 2015 till the semifinals of the tournament. However, their efforts went in vain as then hosts Australia decimated them easily.

The Indian side will start their campaign on June 5th against South Africa.
