Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti, have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling ongoing divorce rumours. Multiple reports on January 23 claimed the couple, who has been married for 20 years, may be heading towards a divorce, citing that they have been living separately for several months.
Hindustan Times reported that they have also stopped following each other on Instagram, sparking rumors of trouble in their relationship. Sehwag and Aarti, who tied the knot in 2004, share two sons, Aryavir and Vedant.
Recently, fans noticed that Aarti has been absent from Sehwag’s social media posts, which has further intensified speculation about their relationship. Although the couple has not officially commented, rumors of a potential split continue to circulate among fans.

Sehwag is regarded as India’s second-best opener in Test cricket, thanks to his remarkable performances in the format. The Delhi-born cricketer has accumulated 8,586 runs in 104 matches (180 innings), averaging 49.34, with 23 centuries and 32 half-centuries.
Sehwag’s Remarkable Career on the Field
Sehwag boasts an impressive strike rate of 82.23 and made history in 2004 by becoming the first Indian batter to score a triple century in Test cricket, achieved against Pakistan in Multan. He repeated the feat in 2008 against South Africa in Chennai, joining an exclusive group of players with two triple centuries in Tests.
In ODIs, Sehwag has accumulated 8,273 runs from 251 matches (245 innings), averaging 35.05 with a strike rate of 104.33, including 15 centuries and 38 half-centuries. He played a pivotal role in India’s 2011 ODI World Cup victory, making an impact with his aggressive approach and first-ball boundaries.
Sehwag also scored 394 runs in T20Is, including two half-centuries, and was part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup-winning team. After a stellar career, he announced his retirement in October 2015.
