As we slowly approach the ICC T20 World Cup next year in India, teams have started to fix the team combinations. In the wake of India’s dominating run over Australia, former cricketer Virender Sehwag has named the pace trio for the mega event.

Virat Kohli & C0 have made a dominating start in the shortest format beating Australia in the shortest format. They stretched their winning streak to ten matches in T20I which started in 2019. With less than a year remaining before the T20 World Cup gets underway, former India batsman Virender Sehwag has picked T Natarajan as one of the pacers for the tournament.

The cricketer-turned-commentator named the pace trio India should opt for. Virender Sehwag left out the likes of Mohammed Shami, Deepak Chahar and other pacers from his lineup. Going by Sehwag, India should go with Natarajan, Jasprit Bumrah, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

“India will have a very strong bowling lineup for the T20 World Cup if T Natarajan plays with Bumrah and Bhuvi. The T20 format is such that a bowler who gives less runs today, can get hit tomorrow,” said Virender Sehwag at Sony Network’s cricket talk show.

“But his execution is very good, whether it is the yorker, slower one or length ball. Bumrah also has the same quality. He will realise after this tour, how big a change it has brought to his career. People will be wanting to learn from him and trying to become like him,” added Virender Sehwag.

India will strive to win their maiden ICC T20 World Cup since the inaugural edition in 2007 when MS Dhoni scripted history with a bunch of young cricketers which completely changed the landscape of Indian cricket. The mega competition will take place in India in the month of October-November.
