Wasim Jaffer Shares Hidden Advice For Stand-In Skipper Ajinkya Rahane

Wasim Jaffer Ajinkya Rahane

Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer recently shared a hidden message for Ajinkya Rahane ahead of the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Incidentally, Rahane will be leading the side in the remaining matches in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli, who will be travelling back to India to be with his wife Anushka Sharma, who is due to give birth to a child.

Following his humiliating eight-wicket defeat in Adelaide, there has been a lot of talks going around with the playing XI. Apart from the forced changes which will see Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami missing the rest of the tour, the management is planning a couple of more changes in order to bounce back in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Meanwhile, fans were quick to guess that Wasim Jaffer was speaking in favour of picking Ajinkya Rahane and Shubhman Gill for the next match to change their fortunes. The young Punjab batsman was touted to play the first match but the management showed trust in Prithvi Shaw, who failed to live up to the expectations with scores of 0 and 4 in the two Tests.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli’s absence will create a void which is likely to be filled by KL Rahul. Although Rahul has not played Test cricket in more than a year, but his current form has been exemplary.
