Wasim Jaffer Shares Hilarious Meme To Explain India’s Middle-Order Conundrum Ahead Of 1st Test Vs SA

Wasim Jaffer-Virat Kohli

Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer has highlighted India’s middle-order conundrum ahead of the first Test. India start their campaign with the first Test in Centurion. However, they need to solve their middle-order concerns heading into the first Test. Jaffer has tried to explaion the same with a hilarious post on Twitter.

Wasim Jaffer has shared a post with three Indian dishes on Twitter. It runs in verticle order with Pav Bhaji being the first one, Neer Dosa being the second and Biriyani being the third.

If you could pick only two, what’d you pick? And what if the person picking was vegan.. hmm.. then the biryani would miss out.. Just some food for thought” he captioned the post.

Pav BHaji probably indicates towards the Maharashtra-born Ajinkya Rahane. The Biriyani signified Hanuma Vihari who hails from Andhra and Hyderabad is famous for its biriyani. The Neer Dosa, meanwhile signifies to Shreyas Iyer who recently made his Test debut against New Zealand.

By the word “vegan” on his post, he implies that Virat Kohli will have a tough time on picking two out of these three players to bat in the middle order with Cheteshwar Pujara and him batting at three and four respectively.

Both Rahane and Pujara have endured a tough run of form in recent times. However, Rahane might be the one who might sit out in the first game as the news reports suggest.

Rohit Sharma has already been ruled out of the Test series. He was India’s highest run-getter in the WTC campaign and India would miss him dearly in the series.

India are also eyeing their maiden Test series win on South African soil since nearly 30-years of travelling to the country. The last time they played here in 2018, Kohli suffered a 2-1 loss as captain.
