Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer has hilariously trolled Queensland Health Minister Ros Bates, for her jibe against the Indian cricket team. The Indian Cricket team had earlier denied travelling to Brisbane to play the fourth and final Test against Australia. A BCCI official spoke to Cricbuzz saying that they are against getting into another mandatory quarantine period after completing one hard bubble for nearly a month.

According to credible sources, the Ajinkya Rahane led-team expressed its reluctance to travel to Brisbane for the final Test match if there were asked to undertake quarantine again. The Queensland government in response said that if the Indian team cannot follow the rules they better not come.

“If the Indians don’t want to play by the rules, don’t come,” said Ros Bates, who is the state’s Health Shadow Minister. The final Test of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy is scheduled to be contested at The Gabba in Brisbane from January 15-19.

Meanwhile, Wasim Jaffer decided to troll Bates for her unfair comments on Team India, who are living a life inside the bio-bubble since the IPL. Jaffer in response tweeted a picture of England pacer Jofra Archer with a bag and an evil smile on his face. He likened the picture as The Indian team returning back with the Border-Gavaskar trophy without playing the final Test at The Gabba. Notably, Archer was the first international cricketer to breach the bio-bubble once international cricket restarted with a Test series between England and West Indies in the post-COVID era.

Meanwhile, five Indian players namely Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw and Navdeep Saini have been asked to undergo isolation after reports of a bubble breach which was denied by the BCCI later on.

Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade also spoke on India’s reported bubble-breach. Though he denied from delving much into it and said they are concerned about the Indian team only on the field of play.

“What India is doing, I haven’t really thought too much about it, I have seen the photo, it is what it is, people a lot higher than me are sorting it out, as a group and me personally, we are not worried what India is doing outside of the cricket ground, we cannot do much about it,” Wade said during a virtual presser, as quoted by ANI.
