[WATCH] A Video Of MS Dhoni Hobbling While Descending Stairs Goes Viral

Following IPL 2023, MS Dhoni stated that he would return to Chennai Super Kings next season only if he is fully fit. In a recent interview, he mentioned that he is recovering well from knee surgery but it’s too early to assess his condition. Currently, he faces difficulty climbing stairs.

In a widely circulated video on X (formerly Twitter), the CSK captain was seen limping while descending stairs. This is concerning, considering the IPL is only four months away.

Dhoni needs to commence practice soon, but if his knee doesn’t heal in time, retirement might become a possibility. The extent of his recovery will become clearer once he starts training, with batting likely to be less challenging than wicketkeeping.

Dhoni has not confirmed his availability for IPL 2024

The IPL 2024 Schedule has been unveiled by the BCCI, and the tournament is set to kick off in India on March 23, 2024, concluding on May 29, 2024. There is eager anticipation, particularly among Indian youth, for the IPL Time Table 2024. The auction is expected to occur in Dubai in December 2023. Each team will be allocated a budget of Rs 100 crore, and they are required to use this budget to bid for their players.

On the other hand, there are discussions about Chennai parting ways with Ben Stokes before IPL 2024. Although the franchise acquired the all-rounder in the previous auction, the 32-year-old spent most of the campaign on the sidelines due to injury.

Currently, Stokes is not bowling, and he is set to undergo knee surgery to regain full fitness. Chennai is unwilling to take any chances, given the substantial investment made to bring him on board.

The plan is to release him before the next season and secure a replacement through the auction scheduled for December in Dubai. With franchises required to finalize their squads by November 25, more details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
