[WATCH] Abhishek Sharma Gives Popular Punjabi Singer A Unique Challenge Before IPL 2025

Indian opener Abhishek Sharma playfully challenged popular Punjabi singer Jassie Gill to defend 20 runs in six balls against him at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium. The friendly face-off brought together two well-known personalities from Punjab.

Jassie Gill is a member of the ‘Punjab De Sher’ team in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2025. The tournament features popular celebrities from the entertainment industry coming together to compete. The renowned singer was at the PCA Stadium in Mohali for a practice session, where he met the Indian cricketer.

Abhishek Sharma, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad, has started his preparations for the IPL 2025 season. During the friendly challenge, he smashed the first two balls off Jassie Gill for sixes. The third delivery was a wide, while Abhishek Sharma defended the next ball for no run.

He then took a single before hitting a boundary on the fifth delivery. On the final ball, the left-hander stepped out and launched a six straight down the ground. Following the challenge, Abhishek Sharma and Jassie Gill had a chat and wrapped up the session by posing for a picture together.

“They said challenge yourself… so here I am, bowling to the World No. 2 T20 batsman ✌️Smart move? Probably not. 😆🏏🙈 But it was a solid practice session, my bro! 👊🏻 @abhisheksharma_4 #CasualFaceOff #JustForFun,” the Punjabi singer captioned his post on Instagram.
