[WATCH]- Ajinkya Rahane Hurries To Catch KKR Team Bus After It Almost Leaves Without Him

A viral video circulating online suggests that Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane missed the team bus as it departed from the stadium to the hotel. Rahane, who was recently appointed as KKR’s skipper, will be leading the side this season.

Initially going unsold in the first round of the auction, Rahane was later picked up by KKR in the accelerated round for his base price of ₹1.5 crore. The Mumbai batter previously represented the franchise, scoring 133 runs in seven matches before being left out of the squad.

As the season opener on March 22 approaches, both Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have been busy with practice sessions at Eden Gardens. Meanwhile, the video in question claims that Rahane had to rush to catch the team bus after it almost left without him.

How has Ajinkya Rahane performed as an IPL captain?

Ajinkya Rahane has captained in just 25 IPL matches, leading Rajasthan Royals in 23 games and the now-defunct Rising Pune Super Giant in two. However, his record as skipper isn’t the most promising, with only nine wins compared to 16 losses.

Despite this, Rahane showcased his leadership skills when he took charge of Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, guiding the team to their second title in the tournament’s history.

Now, with a strong mix of Indian and international players at his disposal, he will aim to help KKR defend their title and join MI and CSK as the only teams to win back-to-back IPL championships.
