Indian actress Urvashi Rautela recently extended her best wishes to Team India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant for the ongoing five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series against Australia.
A few years ago, Urvashi made headlines when she claimed that someone named ‘RP’ had waited for several hours in a hotel lobby to meet her, sparking speculation about their relationship. The 30-year-old actress later clarified that the media had blown her comments out of proportion.
Now, it appears she has moved on from the past, as she wished Pant all the best for the BGT 2024-25 series. In an interview with Filmygyan, Urvashi was asked to create a hashtag for Pant, to which she responded:
“All the best for Australia.”
Rishabh Pant scored 37 and 1 in the opening Test of the recently concluded series between India and Australia in Perth. The Jasprit Bumrah-led team dominated the match, securing a commanding 295-run victory to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
The second Test is scheduled to be played in Adelaide on December 6. Before the match, the visiting team will face the Prime Minister’s XI in a two-day warm-up game, starting on Saturday, November 30, in Canberra.
Rishabh Pant Secured A Record-Breaking Deal From LSG At IPL 2025 Auction
After being released by Delhi Capitals (DC), Rishabh Pant entered the IPL 2025 auction with a base price of ₹2 crore. His name triggered a bidding war on the first day of the two-day event. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) were all engaged in a fierce bidding war for Pant.
Initially, he was sold to LSG for ₹20.75 crore. However, Delhi Capitals (DC) used their Right to Match (RTM) option, prompting LSG to raise their bid to a massive ₹27 crore. Ultimately, Lucknow secured Pant after Delhi chose not to match the offer.
Pant is now the most expensive player in IPL history. After a nine-year tenure with DC, he is set to play for LSG in IPL 2025.
