India and South Africa are facing each other in the 3rd T20I at Visakhapatnam. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided to field first on a tricky pitch. South Africa has already made lead of 2-0 in this T20I series. They would look to seal the T20I series in this match itself.
Indian team was dependent on Ruturaj Gaikwad to provide a good start. Ruturaj is known for his ability to hit pacers in powerplay. Gaikwad hit two beautiful boundaries on the bowling of Kagiso Rabada in powerplay in the third over of the match.
South Africa called back Anrich Nortje in the fourth over to give them a breakthrough. Nortje is famous for his express pace bowling. But Ruturaj too is extremely skilful to handle high pace. However the third ball of this over was difficult to handle for Gaikwad. Nortje bowled a good short ball angling in towards the helmet of Ruturaj.
Nortje got a nasty bounce on this ball. It was a tennis ball bounce. Gaikwad tried to bend back on this ball but the ball struck the helmet and went towards short third man for a boundary. Ruturaj hit four boundaries in this over of Nortje. He played mind blowing shots against South African bowlers.

“It was tricky wicket to start “- Ruturaj Gaikwad
Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant knock of 57 runs in 35 balls. This was the first half century of Ruturaj in international cricket. Gaikwad in mid match interview said: ” I think it is kind of a tricky wicket to start with. Bit of extra bounce was there, the slower ones were holding. We have seen so far in this series.”
“As the game has progressed it is getting better. It will get better but I think 180 is a good target. 10-15 runs short but I think we can bowl well on this wicket.Just be honest and back yourself to the limit and play positively, that’s what I have been telling myself through the low scores I was getting. You have to bat with clear intent in T20 cricket.”, Ruturaj Gaikwad added.
