This crucial wicket occurred in the 16th over of the Scorchers’ innings, with Xavier Barlett delivering a short ball angled into Conolly. Attempting to pull the delivery, the left-handed batter found himself cramped for room and sent the ball skyward over mid-on.
Neser, starting from mid-on and moving towards long-on, executed a fantastic dive to secure the catch. This crucial wicket brought the Scorchers to 111/6 in 16 overs before Nick Hobson’s brief but impactful innings.

Neser concluded with impressive figures of 2/21 in three overs, securing crucial wickets of captain Aaron Hardie and opener Sam Whiteman. Additionally, Xavier Barlett, Spencer Johnson, Paul Walter, and Matthew Kuhnemann each claimed one wicket.
Conversely, Nick Hobson played a standout role with the bat for the Scorchers, notching a brisk 48 from 30 deliveries, featuring four sixes and two boundaries.
