Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati extended his best wishes to the Indian team upon their arrival in Dubai for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup. He appeared in a video posted on the BCCI Women’s X account, showcasing the team’s arrival in Dubai.
In the United Arab Emirates, the 2024 Women’s World T-20 Championship will take place from October 3 to 20. The competition was originally planned for Bangladesh but was moved because of political instability in that country.
On Wednesday, September 25, a video was uploaded to the BCCI Women’s social media handles showing the Women in Blue arriving in Dubai for the ICC event. He said in the video available at the beginning of the commercial, Daggubati:
“I just bumped into these amazing people at the airport, and I am wishing them all the very best. Thank you.”

“This is the strongest team we’re taking to the T20 World Cup”- Harmanpreet Kaur
In the last 10 years, India has come very close to winning every ICC title but yet to win a World Cup in any format. They made it to the semifinals of the 2023 T20 World Cup held in South Africa but lost to the team that went on to win the championship, Australia. The Women in Blue had to pay a heavy price as they also melted against Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup.
🗣️ If I go there, play freely, and enjoy my cricket, I know I can change a lot of things

And, before the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup travel to and from Australia, the captain Harmanpreet Kaur has made it clear that the team is confident it will perform well. She said:
“If I talk about this team, we have a few players who have been playing for a long time and they know their roles really well. I can say that this is the best team we are going for a T20 World Cup with.”
“It was hard as last time we came so close as we lost the semis. But every time you need to think about the positives, work hard on yourself and your fitness. We’ve tried to tick all the boxes before going into the tournament,” the Indian captain stated.
In the semi-final match between India and Australia in the T20 World Cup 2023 at Newlands, India was the first to bowl and gave away 172 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. In a competitive chase, however, they were only able to get to 167 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. The Indian skipper Harmanpreet was run out for 52 when her bat got stuck in the ground unclutching her from the crease.
