Virat Kohli and Karn Sharma of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) tugged pacer Mohammed Siraj’s leg in the dressing room following the team’s magnificent 47-run victory over the Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, May 12.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru camp was joyful on Sunday following their victory over DC. Faf du Plessis’ side defeated the Delhi Capitals to extend their winning streak to five games. With the win, RCB is now definitely in contention for the IPL 2024 playoffs. That appears to have improved the mood in the dressing room.

At the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, Yash Dayal’s three wickets meant that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the Delhi Capitals by 47 runs. Even after a valiant effort by the night’s skipper, Axar Patel, the visitors were unable to cross the finish line.

DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first against Faf du Plessis. Rajat Patidar scored a half-century, while two cameos from Cameron Green and Will Jacks made sure that RCB achieved 187/9 in the first inning.

Watch: The banter between Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj:

Mohammed Siraj, a bowler for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), shared his opinion about the team’s IPL 2024 turnaround, stating that they are attempting to manage as much as they can by concentrating on one game at a time.

His statement that “fast bowlers have balls in their hands and batters have bats” caught Karn’s attention, so she inquired as to what he intended to say. As the pacer failed to provide a compelling response, Kohli, who was seated beside them, made light of the situation. His peculiar accent added to the situation, he suggested the pacer only say, “Mujhe sirf stump dikhra” (I can only see the stumps).

The motto has been successful for RCB, despite the humor. In the first seven IPL 2024 games, they had only one victory. Following a close one-run loss to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens, they won five straight games to regain their playoff position and are now just a few good outcomes away.

RCB moved up to fifth place with 12 points and a positive run rate of 0.387 after the victory, while the Delhi Capitals dropped to sixth place with a negative run rate of 0.482.
