[WATCH]- Ben Stokes Was Confused By A Reporter’s Broken English Question Before The PAK Vs ENG 2024 3rd Test

England captain Ben Stokes appeared confused when a Pakistan reporter asked him a question in broken English during the press conference for the third Test in Rawalpindi, starting October 24.

The reporter attempted to ask if England planned to score over 800 runs in Rawalpindi after doing so in the first Test in Multan. However, Stokes admitted he didn’t understand the question and asked the reporter to repeat it.

The score of 823/7 ranks as the fourth-highest total in Test cricket, featuring Harry Brook’s 317 and Joe Root’s 262. Meanwhile, Pakistan made unwanted history by becoming the first team to lose after scoring 500 runs in their first innings.

Ben Stokes is prepared to take on additional bowling responsibilities in the series decider

Stokes remains hopeful about bowling several spells in the series decider in Rawalpindi after his hard work. Regarding the pitch, the seam-bowling all-rounder described it as interesting and expects it to be favorable for batting during the first two days. He stated, as quoted by BBC Sport:

“It was good to get through it. I have put myself through my paces at training, bowled two spells. Coming in and being one of only two seamers, I’m fully confident that I’ll be able to get more out of myself this week than I did last week.”

“There’s not too much grass to hold everything together. It will be interesting to see how it goes. It will be a pretty good wicket for the first couple of days, at least.”

Both England and Pakistan have included three frontline spinners in their playing XI for the Rawalpindi Test. The tourists are seeking their second consecutive away Test series victory against Pakistan.
