[WATCH] Bernard Scholtz Stumps Suryakumar Yadav In IND vs NAM Clash

India captain Suryakumar Yadav struggled with the bat in the T20 World Cup clash against Namibia at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, February 12. The right-handed batsman was dismissed for 12 runs off 13 balls as India lost their third wicket at 120.

The wicket fell in the 11th over of India’s innings. Bernard Scholtz noticed Yadav coming down the track and cleverly adjusted his delivery at the last moment. The ball straightened, and Yadav was beaten by the flight while attempting a lofted shot.

Namibia’s wicketkeeper Zane Green completed the stumping by whipping off the bails, leaving Yadav with no chance to make it back to the crease. You can watch the video here:

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav produced an unbeaten 84 off 49 deliveries in the opening match versus the USA.

Namibia Responds Strongly Following Kishan And Samson’s Explosive Start

A strong bowling effort helped Namibia fight back after Sanju Samson’s quick start and Ishan Kishan’s half-century for India. At the time of writing, India were 124/4 after 12 overs, with Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube at the crease. The pair will now look to build a partnership and finish the innings strongly.

Kishan top-scored with 61 runs off 24 balls, including five sixes and six boundaries, setting the tone early in the innings, while Samson scored 22 off eight balls with three sixes. Tilak Varma added 25 off 21 deliveries. Gerhard Erasmus was Namibia’s best bowler, taking two wickets in his first three overs.

India now aim to register back-to-back wins after their 29-run victory against the USA in the T20 World Cup 2026 opener. Namibia, meanwhile, lost their opening match to the Netherlands by seven wickets. They will try to take inspiration from the USA and Nepal to challenge the defending champions, India.
