Bowlers throwing the bowl at batsmen is becoming a recurring thing now but in today’s match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), we saw something even bizarre. Prasidh Krishna threw the bowl which almost hit his own teammate Trent Boult.
In the first innings of the match, Rajasthan posted a below-par total of 152 with the major chunk of the contribution coming from skipper Sanju Samson. The Knight Riders needed 153 from 20 overs in a bid to shrug off their winless streak.
Meanwhile, it was the third over of the second innings when KKR opener Baba Indrajith tapped Trent Boult’s delivery towards mid-on and ran instantly to steal a single. Prasidh Krishna, positioned at mid-on, collected the ball quickly and aimed a direct hit at the wicketkeeper’s end.
However, it hit Boult who was on his follow-through after completing the delivery. The Kiwi pacer reacted well with a jump but it didn’t stop the ball to hit his shoes. Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal got the best view of the bizarre incident as Boult was smiling after falling down on the ground.

However, Trent Boult didn’t injure himself since he is a crucial member of the squad and can often be the game-changer for his side. He got up immediately with a bright smile on his face and completed the over.
KKR beat Rajasthan Royals to keep their hopes alive
Rajasthan Royals eventually lost the match as they posted a below-par total in the first innings. They got the wickets of the openers Baba Indrajith and Aaron Finch early on but skipper Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana stitched an important partnership.
They added 60 runs for the third wicket to set the platform before Rinku Singh and Rana took the team home with five balls to spare. Rinku stood up to the task with an unbeaten 42 runs blitz off just 23 deliveries, including six boundaries and one six to clinch the tie.
