Watch: Bizzare Scenes In USA vs Canada Women’s Cricket Game

USA took on Canada in a women’s cricket match in Mexico last week as the Canadian side went onto win the game by seven runs as they successfully defended their target of 85. However, this was not before the game saw a few bizarre moments in the game. The actions of the few players were questionable however the on-field umpires were too easy on the players.

A bizarre incident happened in the first over of the game itself with Canada opener Divya Saxena. She took evasive actions to save herself from getting out. her actions were questionable but the umpires decided to go easy on her. As it turned out, she went onto score 40 out of the 85 runs which was scored by the Canada women in the game.

Canada Women Beat USA Women By 7 Runs

It was an ICC T20 World Cup qualifier game, which was almost a bizarre game. Opener Saxena scored 40 along with Miryam Khonkar scoring 27 off 50 balls. They scored 85/4 in 20 overs whcih looked well below par at the halfway point in the game.

However, the Canadian bowlers brought their team back in the game by taking wickets at regular intervals. Hala Azmat took four for 15 as she was the wrecker-in-chief in USA’s innings. Isani Vaghela top-scored with 20 as none of the other batters were able to score anything substantial. Alast the USA team were restricted to 78 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Canada won the game by seven runs, in the end, to stay in the contest.
