Former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist was spotted taking a selfie with seasoned Indian batter Rohit Sharma ahead of the second ODI in the three-match series on Thursday, October 23, at Adelaide Oval. The duo share a close bond from their time together with the Deccan Chargers in the IPL between 2008 and 2010, including the team’s title-winning season in 2009.

Adam Gilchrist, now part of the broadcasting team, was seen catching up with Rohit before sharing a light-hearted moment and clicking the selfie. You can watch the video here:

Meanwhile, the Indian opener had a frustrating outing in the first ODI at Perth on Sunday, October 19, getting out for just eight runs off 14 balls. India went on to lose the match by seven wickets via the DLS method. The 38-year-old will be keen to make a strong comeback in the second ODI as India strive to keep their series hopes alive.

Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and chose to field, putting India in to bat. In the third over, on the second delivery, Shubman Gill cut the ball toward backward point. Mitchell Owen showcased exceptional fielding with a direct hit aimed at the non-striker’s end. Rohit Sharma, attempting a quick single, narrowly avoided being run out thanks to a diving save.

At this stage, India were 14 without loss after five overs, with Shubman Gill on 6 and Rohit Sharma on 8.
