Ace Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Moeen Ali has completed his mandatory isolation and joined the rest of the teammates on Sunday.

Incidentally, Moeen’s arrival was delayed due to visa issues due to which he missed their IPL 2022 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday.

The 34-year-old cricketer landed in India on Thursday and had to undergo a three-day mandatory isolation. Moeen Ali joined the CSK teammates late on Sunday evening when they were sitting together in the entertainment arena.

The cricketer from England also met former Chennai captain MS Dhoni, who was sitting with the rest of the players and support staff.

The Chennai franchise captioned the video as:

“Vanganna Vanakkangana! A Superfam welcome to Namma Mo Bhai! #WhistlePodu #Yellove.”

Incidentally, Moeen Ali is one of the four cricketers retained by Chennai Super Kings alongside MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Moeen had a superlative time for CSK in the last season, scoring 357 runs in 15 games and also picked up six wickets. He played an integral role in Chennai’s fourth title-winning campaign.

The English all-rounder will hope to continue the good work in the upcoming season as the Super Kings look to defend the title. He is likely to be available for selection for CSK’s second game against Lucknow Super Giants.

CSK felt nervous with Ravindra Jadeja as captain – Matthew Hayden

Former Chennai Super Kings and Australia opener Matthew Hayden said he was not impressed by what he saw from the 4-time champions in the IPL 2022 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, adding that new captain Ravindra Jadeja was nervous.

“The nervousness they felt with Rav (Ravindra Jadeja) as captain it was so unlike CSK in many ways.”

“I am getting a little nervous about CSK. They have got a new captain, a completely different outfit, some old heads there but there’s also a lot to prove. Also, there’s a lot to make up, especially after the opening night’s performance,” Hayden told Star Sports.
