Delhi Capitals opener David Warner suffered a rare failure at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. He was dismissed for a golden duck against the Punjab Kings on Monday in Match 64 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season.

David Warner opened the innings along with Sarfaraz Khan for the Capitals. Interestingly, Sarfaraz was going to face the first ball and was gearing up for it. But seeing Liam Livingstone take the new ball, David Warner had a change of mind. He decided to face the new ball.

Liam Livingstone bowled a tossed-up delivery outside off stump. The ball held a bit before Warner tried to play a drive, but ended up pushing at it. He played it towards Rahul Chahar at backward point, who completed an easy catch. Warner had to go back to the hut for a golden duck.

Delhi Capitals lost half of their side for 112 runs

Earlier in the match, Punjab Kings skipper Mayank Agarwal won the toss and elected to bowl first. They have decided to play the same eleven as the last match. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals made a couple of changes. Khaleel replaced Chetan Sakariya while Sarfaraz came in for KS Bharat.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals have lost half of their side for 112 runs. Sarfaraz Khan played a brilliant cameo of 32 runs off 16 balls, including five boundaries and a six. At the moment, Axar Patel joined Mitchell Marsh at the crease.
