Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, KKR appointed Dwayne Bravo as their mentor. Despite never having played for the franchise in the IPL, Bravo shares a close association with the team.

He has guided the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) to multiple championships in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and has also served as the coach of the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the International League T20 (ILT20).

Dwayne Bravo takes over as KKR mentor for IPL 2025, replacing Gautam Gambhir

Former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir rejoined the franchise as a mentor for IPL 2024. Under his leadership, the team made it to the final and secured their third IPL title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Later, Gambhir took on the role of head coach for the senior Indian men’s team and recently guided them to victory in the 2025 Champions Trophy. With his national commitments, KKR appointed Dwayne Bravo as their mentor for the upcoming season.

Bravo, a legendary IPL player, has represented teams like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, winning multiple titles. Over his IPL career, he played 161 matches, scoring 1,560 runs and taking 183 wickets, making him one of the league’s top wicket-takers.
