Originally, the final was scheduled for May 25 at Eden Gardens. However, with a revised calendar in place, the playoffs and final—now expected on June 3—may be shifted, and the new venues are yet to be confirmed.

IPL 2025 Action Resumes with RCB vs KKR Thriller

The IPL 2025 season was temporarily suspended for a week, with the final initially slated for May 25. However, following the resumption, the tournament will now conclude on June 3. As the league returns after the short break, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will meet in the first match on Saturday, May 17.

The game is scheduled to take place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB have secured eight wins from 11 matches and currently sit second on the points table with 16 points. A victory over KKR would confirm their place in the playoffs.

On the other hand, KKR, the defending champions, are placed sixth with five wins in 12 games. Even if KKR win both of their remaining matches and finish with 15 points, their qualification for the playoffs will depend on the results of other teams.
