[WATCH]: ENG vs IND- Bumrah’s Fiery Yorker Cleans Up Carse For 1 In 3rd Test Showdown

India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah made an immediate impact in England’s second innings of the third Test by removing Brydon Carse for just 1 run. The breakthrough came in the third session of Day 4, as Bumrah unleashed a blistering yorker that shattered Carse’s stumps, reducing England to 184/8.

Carse had earlier played a crucial role in England’s first innings, scoring a defiant half-century that lifted them from 271/7 to a total well past 350 on Day 2. His resilience had frustrated the Indian bowlers, making his dismissal all the more important as India looked to limit their fourth-innings chase.

The visitors had already gained the upper hand when off-spinner Washington Sundar struck twice around the Tea break, dismissing both Joe Root and Ben Stokes. Then, on the very first delivery of the 56th over, Bumrah produced a trademark inswinging yorker. Carse was caught off-guard, unable to get his bat down in time, and the ball crashed into the stumps.

Bumrah Shatters Woakes’ Stumps As England Collapse Nears In 3rd Test

India’s premier fast bowler continued his demolition of England’s lower order by removing Chris Woakes soon after dismissing Brydon Carse. In the 58th over, Woakes was undone by a sharp nip-backer that angled in down the slope, leaving him in an uncomfortable position as the ball crashed into his stumps.

At the time of reporting, England were struggling at 185 for 9. Injured No.11 Shoaib Bashir had taken the crease, while Jofra Archer remained unbeaten without scoring at the other end.
