A young fan’s touching gesture toward a cheerleader during the IPL 2026 clash between the Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings has gone viral. The video shows a little girl handing over a small hand fan to a DC cheerleader at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Before that, the cheerleaders shared a brief, friendly exchange with her, after which she offered them the fan as a token of appreciation. The cheerleader, dressed in a white top and red-blue skirt, expressed her gratitude and then passed the fan to her teammates.

New Delhi saw relatively mild and comfortable conditions, with daytime temperatures hovering between 33°C and 34°C and nighttime lows ranging from 20°C to 23°C. However, the National Capital Region remained quite humid, with levels touching nearly 90% during foggy early mornings and staying above 50% through the day, largely due to unseasonal rainfall.
BCCI Shifts IPL 2026 Final to Ahmedabad from Bengaluru, Cites Local Requirements
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Wednesday that the IPL 2026 Final will now take place in Ahmedabad on May 31, instead of Bengaluru as initially scheduled. The board stated that the decision was made due to certain requirements raised by local authorities and the state association.
Despite a tragic stampede outside its main cricket venue last year that claimed the lives of 11 young fans, Bengaluru was still permitted to host five matches this season. Qualifier 1, featuring the top two teams in the standings, is set to be held on May 26 in Dharamsala, with a direct spot in the final on the line.
Chandigarh is set to host the Eliminator on May 27, featuring the teams finishing third and fourth in the standings. The same venue will also stage Qualifier 2 on May 29, where the loser of Qualifier 1 will भिड़ the Eliminator winner for a place in the final.
The championship match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is the largest cricket stadium in the world, boasting a seating capacity of around 130,000 spectators.
