Team India beat Pakistan in a thrilling encounter on Sunday at the MCG in Australia which was the campaign opener for both sides at the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Former India captain Virat Kohli produced an unbeaten knock of 82 runs off just 53 balls and sealed the deal. However, one more thing that made headlines was the national anthem that was sung by all the fans ahead of the clash.

The national anthem holds a special place for everyone and thousands of Indians were seen singing it along with the team which made it even more special as well. Moreover, India captain Rohit Sharma was quite emotional during that time also and he could not control his tears.

Meanwhile, the video of fans singing the Indian national anthem “Jana Gana Mana” in unison at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)  went viral in no time. And, the Mumbai Police also shared a video of the spectacular moment and captioned it: “The country and anthem we all rise up for. #JaiHind #TeamIndia #IndVSPak2022”.

As far as the game is concerned, Team India won the toss and elected to bowl first. And, on the back of Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh, who picked up three wickets each, Pakistan batters could only manage to post 159 runs on the scoreboard as well, giving a target of 160 runs for the Indian team to chase in the much-awaited game.

India’s chase started in a poor way as openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got out very cheaply in the innings, alongside Suryakumar Yadav. However, the 113-run stand between Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya steadied the ship and kept India’s hopes alive in the game as well.

However, Pandya was dismissed in the final over off the very first ball but Kohli kept his calm and after a lot of drama, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin hit the winning runs for India on the final ball of the game and India won the encounter by four wickets as well.
