[WATCH]- Football Icon Ronaldo Nazario Acknowledges Virat Kohli After Viewing A Picture Shared By YouTuber IShowSpeed

Virat Kohli‘s immense popularity extends globally, with legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldo Nazario acknowledging the cricket champion upon seeing his photo. During a tour across Brazil, renowned American YouTuber IShowSpeed introduced Ronaldo to Kohli through a picture, and the football great recognized him.

At first, when IShowSpeed asked Ronaldo, “Do you know Virat Kohli?”, the football legend responded with “Who?”. However, when IShowSpeed showed a photo of the Indian superstar and commented, “He’s the best, better than Babar Azam,” Ronaldo nodded in agreement, confirming that he indeed knew Kohli.

IShowSpeed, a huge Kohli fan, was extremely thrilled and shared his excitement with fans.

You can watch the complete interaction between IShowSpeed and Ronaldo in this video:

Ronaldo won the FIFA World Cup twice and received the Golden Ball in the 1998 World Cup. On the other hand, Kohli is recognized as the premier batsman of his era and one of the most successful in history.

Recently, at 35 years old, he achieved the milestone of 13,000 ODI runs, accomplishing this feat faster than anyone else. Moreover, he became the first batter to reach 50 ODI centuries, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar in both achievements. With a total of 80 international centuries, Kohli trails only Sachin’s record of 100 tons. Additionally, he earned the Player of the Tournament title in the recent ODI World Cup.

Virat Kohli chooses not to participate in the opening T20I against Afghanistan

Virat Kohli continues his absence from T20Is, deciding not to participate in the series opener against Afghanistan in Mohali due to personal reasons.

Since the disappointing semi-final loss in the 2022 T20 World Cup, Kohli has not featured in the shortest format for India. After considerable speculation, he made himself available for T20Is and was promptly chosen alongside teammate Rohit Sharma for the Afghanistan series.

Ahead of the World Cup in the West Indies and U.S.A. in June, Team India is set to compete in three T20Is against Afghanistan, marking their last international assignment. Notably, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav, who captained India in Rohit’s absence in T20Is over the past 14 months, will not be part of the squad.

Kohli’s inclusion suggests his integral role in India’s T20 World Cup plans, a tournament where he has excelled in the past. As the all-time leading run-scorer in the competition, the 35-year-old was named the Player of the Tournament in both 2014 and 2016.

India has a flawless record against Afghanistan in T20Is, having won all four completed matches. The upcoming series marks the historic first bilateral T20I series between the two Asian sides.
