The ex-Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is not doing very well. Recently, the internet surfaced with a clip featuring the 52-year-old ex-cricketer having difficulty in walking. Kambli had been on foot to get to some destination. On the street, he used a parked motorcycle for support while walking. People around him noticed his difficulties and assisted him in reaching his destination.
Narendra Gupta of media shared the video:
“Former cricketer Vinod Kambli is currently facing health challenges. He has been candid about his battles with health issues and personal difficulties in recent times, having been hospitalized multiple times for ailments such as heart problems and depression. Wishing him a speedy recovery and the necessary support.”
From 1993 to 2000, Kambli represented India in 17 Test matches and 104 One Day Internationals. His last appearance in local cricket was against Madhya Pradesh in Maharashtra state’s first-class match held at Mumbai in 2004 where he scored 92 runs across two innings.
Vinod Kambli has previously experienced health concerns
Narendra Gupta, in one of the Instagram captions, mentioned that Kambli had suffered from certain health problems. In 2013, Kambli suffered a heart attack while going back home from Chembur. This timely action led him to the hospital; soon he was stable. Before this happened, however, he had already undergone an angioplasty due to the presence of two clogged arteries.
Kambli’s health improved in the early 2010s, but judging by the video showing him lately the ex-cricketer seems to be having some health problems again although not much is known about what they exactly are.
