Glenn Maxwell & Jason Holder

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants are currently facing each other in Match 31 of IPL 2022. LSG skipper KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bowl. Both the teams are playing an unchanged XI.

RCB had a terrible start as fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera picked 2 wickets in the first over of the match. He removed Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli on consecutive deliveries.

Glenn Maxwell came in to bat at no.4 for Bangalore. The Aussie batted with a positive approach, smashing Chameera for 3 boundaries in the third over of the match.

In the 6th over, Maxwell tried to reverse sweep Krunal Pandya. But he couldn’t time it properly and the ball went in the short third-man region. 6 ft 7 inch tall- Jason Holder dived towards his left and plucked an amazing catch to end Maxwell’s innings. He had to depart after scoring 23 runs off 11 balls.

Ahead of the match, Glenn Maxwell said:“I feel as good as I’ve ever felt. Have had a nice run from the BBL till the Sri Lanka series. I’ve been in a good space mentally and hopefully, technically as well.”

In the last over, Faf had a chance to complete his hundred but he ended up handing a catch to Marcus Stoinis standing at deep backward square. Faf’s knock propelled RCB to a total of 181-6.

The RCB captain received a standing ovation as he left the ground. For Lucknow Super Giants, Dushmantha Chameera and Jason Holder took 2 wickets each.
