Neil Wagner

The World Test Championship winners New Zealand were made to toil hard for wickets on day 3 of the 1st Test against Bangladesh in Mount Maunganui. Resuming the day at 175/2, the visitors lost the wicket of Mahmudul Hasan Joy early in the day.

Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim were going strong. They were at 192/4 when left-arm pacer Neil Wagner got the edge of Mominul which went straight to the hands of Tom Blundell when the batter was on 9 off 57 balls. However, after several replays, it was concluded that Wagner had overstepped and Haque survived.

Frustrated by the decision, Neil Wagner was furious and hurled abuses. His voice was caught in the stump mic where he could be seen using abusive language.
