[WATCH]- Glenn Maxwell Dismisses Jamie Smith With A Brilliant Delivery In The ENGvAUS 5th ODI

Australia‘s spin-bowling all-rounder Glenn Maxwell took out England’s middle-order batsman Jamie Smith with a superb delivery during the ODI on Sunday, September 29, at County Ground, Bristol.

Smith came in after Harry Brook’s dismissal and started slowly, scoring only six runs. In the 28th over, Maxwell delivered a sharply turning ball that swung back in. Smith attempted a backfoot shot but missed entirely, resulting in his stumps being knocked over.

Jamie Smith was out on the fourth ball of the 27th over, scoring 6 runs off 9 balls. His exit left England at 215 for four, and Liam Livingstone came in to bat. Ben Duckett is out after reaching his century in the fifth ODI between England and Australia

Stand-in captain Steven Smith won the toss and chose to bowl first in the final ODI of the five-match series. England started strongly, losing only Phil Salt (45 off 27) during the powerplay, finishing 73/1 after 10 overs.

Following Salt’s dismissal, England faced a minor setback with Will Jacks being dismissed cheaply. However, Harry Brook and Ben Duckett then combined for an impressive 132-run partnership.

Brook played aggressively, scoring 72 runs off 52 balls before being caught while attempting a big shot. Duckett, on the other hand, maintained his composure, reaching his century and helping England cross the 200-run mark in just 25 overs

Duckett completed his second ODI century at the venue but soon fell among three quick wickets. Liam Livingstone (0 off 3), who had performed well in the previous match, also went out without scoring as Australia staged a comeback.

As the innings progressed, Australia managed to dismiss England’s seventh wicket, bringing the score to 250/7 at the time of writing. The series is currently tied at 2-2, adding to the stakes of this crucial final match.
