Harbhajan Singh, the seasoned Indian spinner, batted without his abdominal guard in the one-off T20 charity match held on January 18. He was a member of the One World team participating in the One World One Family Cup charity game in Bengaluru.

The match showcased numerous former cricketers from various nations who returned to the field as part of the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission’s efforts to promote awareness about child healthcare.

During the match at the Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium in Sathya Sai Grama, Harbhajan Singh played for the One World team led by Sachin Tendulkar. The game, featuring former cricketers, evoked nostalgia among fans.

However, a humorous incident occurred during the One World team’s innings when the 43-year-old Singh came to bat without his abdominal guard. You can watch the video here:

Realizing the absence of his abdominal guard midway through the field, Singh had to resort to borrowing one from rival wicketkeeper and fellow countryman Parthiv Patel. The incident, which amused everyone, including One Family captain Yuvraj Singh, quickly gained traction on social media.

In the match, One Family was invited to bat first and set a total of 180 runs, losing six wickets in the process. Harbhajan Singh, besides scoring four runs off two balls, took two wickets for the Tendulkar-led team. In the second inning, Alviro Petersen played a crucial role, scoring 74 runs off 50 balls, leading the team to a comfortable four-wicket victory over Yuvraj Singh and his team.
