Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore have always produced high-pressure encounters and it was no different when both teams locked horns in Abu Dhabi. The encounter saw Hardik Pandya and Chris Morris exchange words during the dying moments of the game.

Chasing 165 runs set by Bangalore, the defending champions were cruising through. Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan produced a perfect start before ever-consistent Suryakumar Yadav carried on the baton on his shoulders. Just when things were looking way too easy for Mumbai Indians, Devdutt Padikkal produced a special effort to provide a breakthrough. However, it didn’t matter as Suryakumar played a cracking knock to lay the platform for his side.

The incident took place in the 19th over of the game when Mumbai Indians were cruising home. Looking to go home early Hardik Pandya launched a scathed attack on Chris Morris dispatching him for a six over long-on. Soon after that, he was seen showing Morris his place and the exchange didn’t look friendly at all.

The Proteas all-rounder made a superb comeback dismissing Hardik Pandya of the very next ball. Morris bid him good night after removing him. That did irk Pandya, who gave back while walking back to the pavilion. Meanwhile, Pandya’s departure didn’t disturb the outcome as Mumbai Indians walked home convincingly.

They carted the bowlers to all parts, before Rahul Chahar’s chicanery accounted for the latter. The second half was all about Mumbai Indians, who lost Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in quick succession amidst a bone-chilling spell of pace from Jasprit Bumrah.

Devdutt Padikkal, too, departed in an attempt to accelerate and was perhaps robbed off a hundred at the team’s expense. Gurkeerat Mann Singh and Washington Sundar did all they could to get RCB to 164
