Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Heinrich Klaasen rarely plays unconventional shots, and after losing his wicket in the recently finished Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Punjab Kings game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, he is most likely going to stick to that strategy.

With his setup, the right-handed batter had a chance to send SRH packing. He did not, however, make it to the finish, as Harpreet Brar castled him on the second ball of the penultimate over.

The wicketkeeper-batsman attempted a bold shot when SRH needed seven runs in eleven balls, and he quickly regretted it.

Shuffling across to play the scoop shot, Heinrich Klaasen was unable to make contact with the ball. The ball continued to smash into his bare stumps. With the help of three fours and two sixes, the South African star scored 42 runs off just 26 balls before leaving the game.

Heinrich Klaasen takes Sunrisers Hyderabad to a four-wicket victory:

In Sunday’s IPL 2024 final league stage match, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings by four wickets thanks to outstanding performances from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen.

Chasing 215: SRH lost Travis Head to a wicket on the opening delivery, but Abhishek and Rahul Tripathi’s outstanding partnership turned the tide. While Tripathi got 33 off of 18 balls, Abhishek scored 66.

Later, Nitish Kumar Reddy hit 37 off 25 balls, while Klaasen struck 42 off 26 balls. Arshdeep Singh and Harshal Patel each took two wickets for PBKS. SRH advanced to the second position in the points standings with this victory. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Punjab Kings with ease on Sunday, moving them up to second place in the IPL 2024 points standings.

Currently, the squad’s Qualifier 1 match against Kolkata Knight Riders is scheduled for Tuesday in Ahmedabad; however, a victory by the Rajasthan Royals in the evening match would vault the team back into second place. With two points more than the Mumbai Indians in last place, Punjab Kings will conclude the season in ninth place thanks to the loss.
