Veteran India cricketer Virat Kohli is gearing up for the 2022 T20 World Cup which begins on October 16 in Australia. He did not take part in India’s first warm-up match on Monday against the Western Australia XI in Perth. However, Kohli kept himself busy with net practice along with coach Rahul Dravid on the sidelines of the match.
The former Indian skipper reached Australia on Thursday along with the Indian team. They hit the ground running the next day to prepare for the T20 World Cup. In a video viral on social media, Rahul Dravid is seen giving throwdowns to Virat Kohli in the nets, while India’s warm-up match was on. Kohli was rested from the match.

Meanwhile, Indian opener KL Rahul also joined Virat Kohli at the practice session at the W.A.C.A Ground, after the practice match against Western Australia. After missing the first game, Kohli is expected to play the second match, which is on October 13 in Perth.

I admire Sachin Tendulkar, and Virat Kohli, like I admire Sunil Gavaskar: Vivian Richards
West Indies great Vivian Richards expressed his admiration for Indian cricketers Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rohit Sharma. He expressed that he is a great fan of their batsmanship. Speaking to Indian journalist Vimal Kumar, Vivian Richards said,
“To be fair, I know these are two individuals who have served the cricketing world well they are magnificent players. I do not want to get into how they are playing. Admire them like I admire Sunil Gavaskar, whom I have played against. I am a fan of great batsmanship, and India has produced some great batsmen over the years.”
“I have always liked Rohit, especially when Virat was the captain before he turned over the captaincy to Rohit,” added. Vivian Richards.
