[WATCH] Here’s What Naveen-Ul-Haq Comments On His Feud With Virat Kohli

Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq stated that his relationship with Indian batting hero Virat Kohli is still intact despite their quarrels during IPL 2023. He claims that both of them had some altercation during the game played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) of IPL 2O23 which spilt over even after shaking hands among the competing teams again after the completion of the game.

Kohli and Naveen shared a light moment during the 2023 World Cup game between India and Afghanistan in Delhi and the pacer clarified that the two had buried their differences.

He felt the altercation was just in the heat of the moment and that it was nothing personal. Here’s what Naveen-ul-Haq said about Virat Kohli when he spoke in a video posted by the Texas Super Kings:

“It was in the heat of the moment. He was representing his franchise, I was playing for my franchise, If it is for my franchise or for my country, I will give it all. I won’t back down. At the end of the day we are all players and some of us are close friends, some of us are colleagues. We just brush it out and there’s nothing personal. In the ODI World Cup, it finished once and for all.”

Naveen-ul-Haq holds that social networks foster conversation for dialogue and asserts that they have moved way past the subject.

Amit Mishra believes that Naveen-ul-Haq won’t respect Virat Kohli

Amit Mishra, the Indian veteran leg-spinner, was with Lalit Solanki Group when Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli had their altercation. He believes while the duo claimed to have gotten over and forgotten the matter, Naveen will never be able to treat Kohli with respect again.

This is what Mishra said during an episode of Shubhankar Mishra’s show ‘Unplugged’ on YouTube:

“For social media, it all seemed to be over between them. But do you think Naveen will respect Kohli ever again? What about the youngsters who saw the incident where a big star was abusing others.”

Mishra said that when he tried to tell Kohli be polite with Naveen the famous batter said that Naveen must learn to behave and not him.
