[WATCH] “I Just Absolutely Love Him, Wanna Marry Him” – Ramiz Raja’s Bizarre Comment Praising Babar Azam Goes Viral

Former Pakistan cricketer and ex-chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja was in awe of Babar Azam’s batting during the Lanka Premier League (LPL) match against Galle Titans on Monday, August 7 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. His comment during the match has gone viral on social media.

Babar Azam led the Colombo Strikers batting unit, smashing a match-winning century. He slammed 104 runs off 59 deliveries, with eight boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 176.27. The Colombo Strikers chased down 189 runs comfortably with seven wickets to spare. During his knock, Ramiz Raja, who was part of the LPL commentary panel congratulated the batter. He said,

“Fifty in security, class, and quality, calmness. He is your guy in such a situation, in the back deep in the innings. I just absolutely love him – wanna marry him.”

Pathum Nissanka also played a fine hand of 54 runs from 40 deliveries, with five boundaries and six. His partnership of 111 runs with Babar Azam set the stage for Colombo Striker’s comfortable win. Earlier in the match, Naseem Shah, Ramesh Mendis and Lakshan Sandakan took a wicket each.

Colombo Strikers make comeback with convincing win

The Colombo Strikers have had a mixed outing in the Lanka Premier League 2023 so far. They are third on the points table with four points from as many games, with an NRR of -0.020. They have won two out of their four matches so far. The Niroshan Dickwella-led team lost their opening encounter against Jaffna Kings. They defeated the B-Love Kandy by 27 runs but lost to Dambulla Aura.

The latest win against the Galle Titans has kept the Colombo Strikers in the hunt in the tournament. They will take on the Jaffna Kings again on August 8 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. They will be keen to level the scores against them in the upcoming clash.
