India batter Ishan Kishan reached his century with a brilliant hat-trick of fours in the second ODI of the three-match series against Afghanistan at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, June 17. On the fourth delivery of the 33rd over, Kishan worked the ball past mid-wicket for a boundary.
He followed it up on the next ball with a fine pull shot that raced to the fine-leg fence. On the final delivery of the over, the left-hander guided the ball through backward point to complete his hundred off just 71 balls in commanding style. Watch the video here:

Just look at Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill. They are celebrating each other's centuries even more than their own. No insecurity between them. That's what true friendship looks like.

Centuries from Gill and Kishan Power India Ahead
Asked to bat first, the Men in Blue suffered an early setback as Yashasvi Jaiswal fell cheaply for four runs off nine balls in the second over. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill then stabilised the innings with an 87-run partnership for the second wicket off 67 deliveries, before Rohit missed out on a well-deserved half-century, dismissed for 48 off 39 balls by Rashid Khan.
Ishan Kishan joined at No. 4 and, along with the skipper, maintained the scoring momentum. Gill reached his fifty in 38 balls, while Kishan completed his milestone off 52 deliveries. The duo then took control of the innings, with Gill bringing up his ninth ODI century with a boundary off his 77th ball in the 33rd over, followed in the same over by Kishan reaching his hundred off 71 balls.
At the time of writing, after 36 overs, India were 308/2, with Gill unbeaten on 134 off 93 balls and Kishan on 113 off 76 deliveries.
