Team India cricketers had a day off at the beach ahead of the Super 4 stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. The Men in Blue have booked a berth in the next stage, beating Pakistan and Hong Kong in the two group games by big margins.
With a few days still to go for the Super 4 game, Indian players were seen participating in some fun activities on a beach in Dubai. The likes of Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma among others were seen enjoying water sports like surfing, kayaking, etc., and also later played beach volleyball.
In a video posted by BCCI on social media, the team looked pretty relaxed. Captain Rohit Sharma went kayaking and seemed to be enjoying the sunshine as well before being
seen playing volleyball with his teammates. All-rounder Hardik Pandya, head coach Rahul Dravid and Paras Mhambrey were seen sitting on the sidelines.

“Just don’t understand” – Ajay Jadeja on Rishabh Pant’s absence from Team India
India shockingly dropped Rishabh Pant from the playing XI for the game against Pakistan and showed trust in veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik. The decision surprised many, including former India batter Ajay Jadeja.
Jadeja said he ‘doesn’t understand’ how Pant could be kept away from the XI and provided the example of the Indian batting order’s debacles in key World Cup matches to put forward his point.
“I feel it is repetitive. I just don’t understand.. the things Rishabh Pant has done for India over the past 2-3 years.. his keeping has improved and I don’t think there is any batsman in India who has won as many games when the team needed him across all formats,” Jadeja said on Cricbuzz.
