India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah provided an early breakthrough on Day 4 of the ongoing fourth Test against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Saturday, July 26. He dismissed Liam Dawson, who had contributed a valuable 26 runs off 65 deliveries, including three boundaries. With his wicket, England lost their eighth batter at a total of 563 runs.
The breakthrough came in the 140th over of England’s first innings, which was also the fifth over of the morning. Bumrah delivered a good-length ball that took advantage of the inconsistent bounce on the pitch. The delivery kept unexpectedly low and went on to hit the top of off-stump, clean bowling the right-hander. It marked Bumrah’s second wicket in the match.
