[WATCH]- Indian Cricket Team Is Heading To South Africa For The Tour

On December 6, the Indian cricket team departed for South Africa, where they are scheduled to play matches in all three formats. The tour includes three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests against South Africa.

In their prior visit to South Africa in 2021-22, India faced defeat in the three-match Test series by 2-1 and suffered a 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series. They aim for an improved performance in the upcoming tour.

On Wednesday, the Indian cricket team’s departure for the South Africa tour from Bengaluru was captured in a video shared by the news agency PTI on their official handle.

Suryakumar Yadav will captain the Men in Blue in the T20Is, KL Rahul will lead in the ODIs, and Rohit Sharma, rested for the white-ball leg along with Virat Kohli, will captain the team in the two Test matches during the South Africa tour.

The 2023-24 India tour of South Africa kicks off with the initial T20I at Kingsmead, Durban, on December 10, followed by matches at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on December 12 and the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on December 14.

Following the T20Is, the tour proceeds with three ODIs. The initial ODI will take place in Johannesburg on December 17, followed by the second and third ODIs in Gqeberha and Boland Park in Paarl on December 19 and December 21, respectively.

India is set to play two Test matches in the final phase of their tour to South Africa. The first Test will take place at SuperSport Park in Centurion from December 26 to 30, and the second Test is scheduled at Newlands in Cape Town from January 3 to 7.

ODI squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sai Sudharsan, Tilak Varma, Rajat Patidar, Rinku Singh, Shreyas Iyer, Mukesh Kumar, KL Rahul (C & wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Chahar.
