India wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan pulled off an excellent catch to send back England captain Harry Brook during the second T20I of the five-match series in Manchester on Saturday, July 4. The breakthrough came on the fourth delivery of the fifth over of England’s chase.
Bowling from around the wicket, Axar Patel fired in a length ball drifting down the leg side. Brook attempted a sweep but managed only a faint glove, which Kishan safely collected behind the stumps. The on-field umpire initially called it a wide, prompting India to opt for a review.
UltraEdge detected a clear edge off Brook’s glove, overturning the original decision and handing Axar his first wicket of the match. The dismissal also marked his 100th T20I wicket, making him the first Indian spinner to achieve the milestone.

Harry Brook produced a quickfire 39 off just 15 deliveries, smashing four boundaries and three sixes. His dismissal reduced England to 51/3 in 4.4 overs.
Harry Brook’s Wicket Tilts Momentum Back in India’s Favour
Chasing a target of 191, England suffered a nightmare start as Arshdeep Singh dismissed both Phil Salt and Jos Buttler for ducks in the opening over. However, captain Harry Brook launched a fierce counterattack, stitching together a 50-run stand off just 23 deliveries with Jacob Bethell for the third wicket.
Brook’s entertaining innings came to an end after he smashed 39 runs from only 15 balls. Following Brook’s dismissal, India’s bowlers tightened the screws, restricting Bethell and Tom Banton from scoring freely.
At the time of writing, England were 78/3 after nine overs, still requiring 113 runs for victory, with Bethell unbeaten on 18 from 19 deliveries and Banton batting on 18 off 17. Earlier, useful contributions from Abhishek Sharma (43 off 24), Ishan Kishan (49 off 40), captain Shreyas Iyer (37 off 22), and Tilak Varma (24* off 11) powered India to a competitive total of 190/7 in their 20 overs.
