Watch – Jason Roy And Wahab Riaz Clash After Former Accuses The Latter Of Ball-Tampering

Jason Roy

England opener Jason Roy has accused fast bowler Wahab Riaz of ball-tampering and clashed during a match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi, throwing the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) into fresh controversy. Notably, only a few days. Notably, the league had landed in hot waters after a member of Karachi Kings was spotted talking over the mobile phone in the dugout.

So far, PSL has been in the news for all wrong reasons and this incident will land the organisers in more trouble. Sarfaraz Ahmed, who is the skipper of the Quetta Gladiators admitted that a clash took place during the game between Jason Roy and Karachi Kings’ Wahab Riaz during the 17th over of the game.

“Roy asked Wahab whether he had made the ball properly to gain reverse swing. The Pakistani pacer reacted angrily and argued before Sarfaraz intervened to diffuse the situation,” a source said.

Defending champions Quetta Gladiators had also mentioned about ball-tampering in their match report. They also pointed out that the condition of the ball was changed although, they did not name anyone. Sarfaraz Ahmed said that his team had followed the protocol. At the same time, the former Pakistan captain insisted that the incident should not be blown out of proportion.

“Look these things happen in cricket when there is intense competition between the players,” Sarfaraz said.

Meanwhile, video of Wahab Riaz and Jason Roy exchange words in a heated manner has gone viral on social media. As the players were making their way to the dressing room after the Gladiator’s innings, Riaz walked up to Roy and was seen saying something in an animated manner. The Englishman did not remain quiet either and was seen saying something in the direction of Wahab Riaz who was pulled away by his teammates.
