[WATCH]- Karun Nair Hits A Six To Complete His Century In The Maharaja T20 Trophy

On Monday, August 19, in the 10th match of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024, Mysore Warriors captain Karun Nair hit a six to complete his hundred against Mangalore Dragons. The game is being held at Bangalore’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium

The occurrence took place on the last ball of the 19th over. Mangalore Dragons pacer Nischith N Rao bowled a full delivery outside off-stump which Karun tried to slog over mid-on but he got a thick edge as it sailed for a six over the ropes at third-man. The right-handed batter reached his hundred off just 43 balls.

The Mysore Warriors found themselves in trouble after being asked to bat first when both their openers, Karthik CA (11) and SU Karthik (23) were sent back home without scoring much. Karthik CA, opening for Mysore Warriors was joined by S.U Karthik who scored 23 runs but were out cheaply.

Karun Nair came in at number three and kept the scoreboard ticking with some excellent shots before he too bowed out without achieving anything substantial having ended his innings with an embarrassing 16 runs from 12 balls. Nair reached his fifty on the 27th ball itself and continued plundering runs at will. He took 16 more balls to score another 50 runs.

This Indian batsman was responsible not only for getting himself centres but also building a partnership of 85 runs with Manoj Bhandage (31* off 14 deliveries) which was instrumental in influencing Mysore Warrior’s final score of 226/4 after the windup of their 20-over innings’.

Nair ended up being not out on an impressive total of 124 runs made off a mere 48 balls including 13 fours and 9 sixes.
