Kieron Pollard is one of the best all-rounders of all time in the T20 format. The explosive West Indies batter has decimated bowling attacks in world cricket. He has proved to be an asset for teams, with his ability to contribute as an all-rounder and also a spectacularly brilliant fielder.
Recently, the all-rounder, who usually bowls medium pace, turned into an off-spinner in a T10 match. This move worked brilliantly for his side, as pollard took a wicket bowling off-spin. The rare incident took place during a Trinidad T10 Blast 2022 match between Scoa King and Scarlet Ibis Scorchers.
The Scoa King openers were going great guns, slamming 45 runs in the first three overs of the match. The skipper of the Scarlet Ibis Scorchers, Kieron Pollard decided to surprise everyone with his move.
He came on to bowl himself, but as an off-spinner. The move seemed to backfire as he conceded 10 runs off the first four deliveries. However, Pollard came back strongly to castle the wickets of Scoa King batter Leonardo Julien on the fifth ball of the over. Julien tried to work the ball towards the on-side, but missed it completely, as it went on to hit the stumps.
