India extended their winning streak to four consecutive matches and became the first team to secure a spot in the final. The title clash is set to take place at the same venue on Sunday, March 9. Opting to bat first, Australia posted 264 before being bowled out.
Steve Smith and Alex Carey led the charge with impressive half-centuries, scoring 73 and 61, respectively. For India, Mohammad Shami claimed three wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakaravarthy picked up two each.
In the run chase, Virat Kohli was the standout performer with the bat, earning the Player of the Match award. He played a brilliant 84-run knock off 98 balls but fell short of a well-deserved century.
