[Watch] Krishna Pandey Slams Six Sixes In An Over In The Pondicherry T10 Tournament

Krishna Pandey’s sparkling innings lit up the Pondicherry T10 tournament, as he hit six sixes in an over in the ongoing league. Playing for the Patriots in the domestic T10 competition, the right-hander achieved this rare feat.

Chasing a humongous target of 158 runs against the Royals, the Patriots were 41/1 in five overs. However, the next over completely changed the momentum of the match. Krishna Pandey smashed the Royals seamer Nitesh Thakur for six sixes in the over. He accumulated 36 runs from a single over of Nitesh to bring the Patriots back in the match.

The right-handed batter slammed Nitesh on both the sides of the wickets, showcasing a wide range of shots from mid-wicket to the backward point region. On the final delivery of the over, Pandey seemed to have a miscued the shot, but it ended up going over the boundary ropes. The dug-out rose in appreciation as the Patriots batter achieved a special feat.

Krishna Pandey almost wins the match for the Patriots

Pandey played a brilliant knock of 19-ball 83 runs that included 12 sixes and two fours. It came at a staggering strike rate of 436.80, to change the course of the match. He took the team to 150 runs in ten overs, but could not take them over the line. Aravindaraj dismissed him for 83 runs, as the Patriots ended up losing the game by just four runs.

Earlier in the match, the Royals won the toss and opted to bat first at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry. They put on a massive 157 runs with three wickets down. Opener R Ragupathy slammed an unbeaten 84 off 30 balls, while Priyam Ashish and Santosh Kumaran also contributed valuable runs.

Their effort did not go in vain as the Royals managed to snatch victory in the final over. Despite the loss, the Patriots are at the top of the table with eight wins, while the Royals are seventh on the table.
