Team India’s left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Pakistan all-rounder Hussain Talat in the 2025 Asia Cup Super Fours clash in Dubai on Sunday, September 21. India won the toss and opted to field first. Talat came in at No. 4 with Pakistan at 93/2 in 10.3 overs. The southpaw struggled to make an impact, scoring only 10 runs off 11 balls.

His innings ended in the 14th over while attempting a reverse sweep. Kuldeep bowled a flighted delivery on the first ball of the over; Talat tried to play an aggressive shot but mistimed it, sending the ball off the top edge to Varun Chakaravarthy, who took a straightforward catch at short third-man.

Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan scored a crucial half-century, giving his team a strong start. He ended his innings with 58 runs from 45 balls. At the time of reporting, Pakistan were 129/4 in 17 overs.

Kuldeep Yadav has been in outstanding bowling form in the ongoing 2025 Asia Cup. The experienced spinner began the tournament with a remarkable four-wicket haul against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and followed it up with another impressive performance in the group stage clash against Pakistan, recording figures of 4-0-18-3. He was named Player of the Match in both encounters.

In the Super Fours match against Pakistan, Kuldeep delivered another disciplined spell, finishing with 4-0-31-1. With this, he has become the joint-highest wicket-taker of the tournament, claiming nine wickets in four innings at an economy rate of 6.07. India have maintained an unbeaten run in the 2025 Asia Cup, entering the Super Fours with consecutive wins over the UAE, Pakistan, and Oman in the group stage.

Pakistan, meanwhile, lost to India by seven wickets in the group stage but secured victories against Oman and the UAE.
