During the match, a special moment involving Dhoni and Hardik Pandya was caught on camera and is now going viral on social media. India won the match by seven runs and qualified for the final for the fourth time. In the viral video, Hardik Pandya is seen walking off the field.
While heading towards the dugout, he notices Dhoni sitting in the stands. From the stairs, Hardik calls out “Mahi bhai.” Dhoni then looks at him and waves back. The video also shows Hardik asking Dhoni something, and the former captain responds by nodding.
Dhoni was sitting in the stands with Hardik’s girlfriend Mahika Sharma and his son Agastya Pandya. However, before greeting them, Hardik first called out to his senior Dhoni. Dhoni then called Agastya closer and pointed towards Hardik, saying “Look, papa.” The little boy looked at his father, and Hardik waved again from a distance.

Team India defeated England by seven runs in a thrilling semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at Wankhede Stadium. Batting first, India posted a massive total of 253/7 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson played a brilliant knock of 89 runs off 42 balls, while Ishan Kishan added a quick 39 and Shivam Dube scored 43 to boost the total.
In reply, England fought hard and finished on 246/7. Jacob Bethell kept England in the chase with a stunning 105 off 48 balls. However, India’s bowlers held their nerve in the final overs. Hardik Pandya picked up two crucial wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah delivered tight overs under pressure. With this victory, India secured a place in the tournament final.
